Jadavpur University, one of India’s premier research institutions, has invited applications for the post of Project Assistant (PA) under a project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India. The project is titled “Understanding the Immune Control of Anti-inflammatory Anti-fibrotic Switch in Cardiac Fibrosis.” This research will be supervised by Dr. Sougata Roy Chowdhury, Principal Investigator, Department of Life Science and Biotechnology, Jadavpur University.

The selected candidate will be engaged in full-time research work related to immune mechanisms and cardiac fibrosis, focusing on molecular and cellular biology aspects. The project tenure extends up to March 31, 2026, with the possibility of continuation for up to three years, depending on performance and funding availability.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science
  OR
• 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology

Desirable Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Zoology, Biochemistry, or Physiology
• Prior laboratory experience in:
  • Primary cell culture and cell sorting
  • Animal cell culture and handling
  • PBMC and tissue processing for immunology and molecular biology
  • Flow cytometry and data analysis
• Candidates with evident industry experience will be given preference
