For Chemistry:
- Post-Graduate Degree in Sciences (Chemistry) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.

- NET / SLET / SET / Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject as per UGC norms.
For Assamese:
- Post-Graduate Degree in Assamese Language with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- B.Ed. degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
- NET / SLET / SET / Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject as per UGC norms.
đ Desirable Qualifications (for both subjects)
- M.Ed. or M.Ed. with Specialisation
- Ph.D. in Education
