Eastern Railway has released its official notification (RRC-ER/Act Apprentices/2025-26) for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, offering an incredible opportunity for ITI-qualified candidates to gain hands-on training across various trades in multiple divisions and workshops of Eastern Railway.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria:

✅ Age Limit (as on cutoff date):

• Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
• Relaxations:
  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • OBC – 3 years
  • PwBD – 10 years
  • Ex-servicemen – additional 10 years (conditions apply)

✅ Educational Qualification:

• 10th Pass (minimum 50% aggregate) under 10+2 system
• National Trade Certificate (NTC) in relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT

• ₹100/- for General & OBC candidates
• No Fee for SC/ST/Women/PwBD candidates

📋 Selection Process:

• No written exam/interview.
• Selection purely on merit basis – average of marks in 10th and ITI
• Final list prepared trade/unit/community-wise
• Tie-breaker: Older age gets preference; if age same, earlier 10th pass gets preference.

🩺 Medical Fitness:

• Medical certificate required as per Apprentice Act.
• Must be signed by a Government-authorized doctor (minimum Asst. Surgeon).
