The Department of Molecular & Human Genetics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, is inviting applications for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under an ICMR-sponsored research project.
🔬 Project Details
- Title of Project: Developing TRIMs and associated co-expressed genes panel in Tumor educated monocytes (TEMo) of breast cancer patients for monitoring progression and response to therapies.
- Funding Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi
- Duration: Up to 3 years (purely temporary and co-terminus with the project)
💰 Fellowship
- Rs. 56,000/- per month + 20% HRA
📚 Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification:
- First-class postgraduate degree in:
- Biochemistry
- Biotechnology
- Molecular & Human Genetics
- Zoology
- Animal Science
- Life Sciences
- Two years of research experience
- Must have qualified NET/GATE or equivalent examination
Desirable Qualification:
- Hands-on experience in:
- Isolation and handling of PBMCs
- Maintenance and differentiation of macrophage cultures
- Cancer biology, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques
- Functional assays relevant to tumor immunology
Age Limit:
- General: 35 years
- OBC: Relaxable by 3 years
- SC/ST/PH/Female: Relaxable by 5 years (as per Govt. of India norms)
