Nalanda University Invites Applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2025–2026

Nalanda University, a globally renowned institution of higher learning, has announced its Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme for the academic year 2025–2026. The fellowship is open to both Indian and foreign nationals and offers an opportunity to conduct advanced research in diverse disciplines under expert guidance.

Eligibility Criteria

Must hold a Ph.D. degree.
Should have a minimum of five high-quality research publications.
Open to both Indian and foreign applicants.

The university reserves the right to admit or reject applicants at its discretion.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the applicant’s research area and recommendations of the Selection Committee.
The final decision will be made by the Competent Authority.
Selection may involve a presentation-cum-interview.
Foreign applicants will be interviewed online and need not appear in person.

Fellowship Benefits

Monthly Fellowship: ₹75,000 (all-inclusive).
Contingency Grant: ₹50,000 per year.
Accommodation: Hostel facility available; charges for accommodation and food to be borne by the fellow.
Tenure: Minimum two semesters, with possible extension based on research performance.
Restrictions: Fellows cannot take up any other paid or unpaid work during the fellowship.
