BHU Recruitment 2025: Apply for Junior Research Fellow in Chemistry Department
Varanasi, August 12, 2025 – Banaras Hindu University (BHU), one of India’s premier educational institutions, has announced an exciting job opportunity for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Science. The recruitment is under a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored project.
About the Project
- Project Title: Functionalized graphene-facilitated integration of M-N4, M-O4, and MN2O2 (where M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) systems for efficient O₂ reduction reaction towards selective hydrogen peroxide synthesis and energy conversion applications.
- Funding: SERB sanction number CRG/2022/003370 (dated December 19, 2022) and BHU project number P-07/1281.
- Duration: Till November 2025 (may be extended by six months with ANRF approval).
- Nature of Position: Purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
Position Details
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (as per rules)
- Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with at least 55% marks.
- NET/GATE qualification is mandatory.
- Research experience in a related field is desirable.
- Age Limit: 28 years (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/Female candidates).
- Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates as per Government of India rules.
