Gauhati University Recruitment 2025 – Project Assistant (Chemistry) Vacancy Announced
Gauhati University, Assam, has released an official recruitment notification inviting applications for the post of Project Assistant in a Research and Development (R&D) project funded by the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC). The project, titled “Therapeutically Relevant Novel Meso-Tetra Aryl Metallo-Porphyrins for Light-Activated Chemotherapy”, will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Tridib Kumar Goswami, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Gauhati University.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 55% marks (or equivalent).
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in synthesis of porphyrins.

Selection Process

- No campus accommodation will be provided.
- The appointment is purely temporary and terminable with one month’s notice from either side.
- The selected candidate will be appointed for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance.
