Essential Qualifications

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale.
   • Must have a consistently good academic record.
2. Additional Requirement:
   • Qualified in NET/SLET/SET.
3. Experience:
   • Minimum 5 years of experience in library services in higher educational/research institutes.
4. Age Limit:
   • As per Government of Assam norms.

• Shortlisting of candidates will be based on recommendations of the Screening Committee.
• Fulfillment of minimum criteria does not guarantee a call for interview.

• Legal disputes, if any, will fall under the jurisdiction of Nagaon District.
• Employed candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor may relax experience/age for exceptional candidates with a good service record.

     H.B. Path, Kolongpar, Nagaon – 782001, Assam
   • Last Date of Submission: 28th August 2025
   • The envelope must be superscribed with:
     “Applied for the Post of Assistant Librarian with Advt. No. 06/25 and Sl. No. of Post applied”
4. Important Notes:
   • Only applications with a hard copy will be accepted.
   • False or misleading information may lead to rejection/termination.
   • Selected candidates will be on probation for two years before confirmation.
