Jadavpur University, Kolkata, has announced recruitment for one post of Project Scientist I and one post of Project Scientist II under the HEFA Sponsored Research Project (Ref: SAN/CSR/15/2024-25) titled “AI based personalized English Speaking Module for Divyangjan/Visually Challenged with demonstrated cognitive development”.
The selected candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Amrita Basu (PI) and Prof. Lopamudra Choudhury (Co-PI), School of Cognitive Science, Jadavpur University.

🔹 Project Scientist I
- Number of Post: 01
- Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences/Human Development/Psychology
- Master’s degree in Cognitive Science/Linguistics/Psychology/Neuroscience
- Demonstrable experience of coding and teamwork with special aptitude for working with visually challenged is mandatory
- Desirable Qualification: Field Work experience
- Fellowship: ₹37,000 + HRA @24% (as per sanction)
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH candidates)
- Tenure: Initially up to 1st March 2026, extendable based on performance
🔹 Project Scientist II
- Number of Post: 01
- Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences/Human Development/Psychology/Economics
- Master’s degree in Cognitive Science/Linguistics/Psychology/Neuroscience/Economics
- Demonstrable experience of EEG data analysis and teamwork with aptitude for working with visually challenged
- Desirable Qualification: Field Work experience & exploratory EEG analysis
- Fellowship: ₹42,000 + HRA @24% (as per sanction)
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH candidates)
- Tenure: Initially up to 1st March 2026, extendable based on performance
