Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, has announced a new recruitment notification under the ICMR Project (P-14/0813) in the Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU). The university invites applications for temporary contractual positions on a six-month basis, which may be extended depending on performance and project requirements.

🔬 Available Positions & Details

1. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

• Salary: ₹56,000/- per month + HRA as admissible
• Essential Qualification:
  • First-class Postgraduate Degree in Biochemistry (including integrated PG degrees)
• Desirable Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of research experience after postgraduation
  • Research in platelet signaling and thrombus biology will be preferred
• Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable as per rules)

2. Senior Project Assistant

• Salary: ₹30,600/- per month (Consolidated)
• Essential Qualification:
  • Graduate in any discipline with 5 years’ experience in administration, finance, or accounts
• Desirable Experience:
  • Handling of research projects and lab administration
• Age Limit: 30 years (relaxable as per rules)

3. Project Technical Support-II

• Salary: ₹20,000/- per month + HRA as admissible
• Essential Qualification:
  • 3-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject with 2 years of experience
    OR
  • 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent) with 5 years’ relevant experience
• Desirable Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience, including handling of deionized water preparation, buffer making, tissue culture, and animal handling
  • Experience in platelet preparation, function tests, and biochemical techniques is desirable
• Age Limit: 28 years (relaxable as per rules)
