Essential Qualifications

Candidates must fulfill all of the following:

Educational Requirement

  • Master’s degree in Linguistics with minimum 55% marks (as per UGC rules).
  • Qualified in NET or an equivalent national-level exam.

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in field linguistics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in linguistic transcription.
  • Experience in lexicography.
  • Experience in web content development related to language documentation.
  • Knowledge of any tribal language.
  • Working knowledge of Bangla, Hindi, and English.

Additional Requirements

  • The role includes both office work and fieldwork.
  • Applicants who are currently pursuing M.A., Ph.D., or working in any other employment will not be considered.

Remuneration

  • Pay Band: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200
  • Grade Pay: ₹2,800 (as per 6th CPC)
