Banaras Hindu University (BHU), one of India’s premier institutions, has issued Advertisement No. Contractual 04/2025-26 inviting applications from Indian citizens for contractual positions in the academic session 2025-26.

Positions Available

1. Teaching Associate/Teaching Assistant
   • Department/Faculty: DST-CIMS, Institute of Science
   • Number of Posts: 01 (UR)
   • Remuneration:
     • Teaching Associate – ₹63,000/- per month (fixed)
     • Teaching Assistant – ₹57,000/- per month (fixed)
2. Radiological Physicist
   • Department: Department of Radiotherapy & Radiation Medicine, IMS, BHU
   • Number of Posts: 02 (UR)
   • Remuneration: ₹75,000/- per month (fixed)

Essential Qualifications

For Teaching Assistant (Post Code-1):

• M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Mathematics and Computing
• NET qualification in relevant discipline
• Desirable: Mathematics with MCA

For Teaching Associate (Post Code-1):

• M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Mathematics and Computing with Ph.D. in relevant discipline

For Radiological Physicist (Post Code-2):

• B.Sc. with Physics as one of the main subjects
• M.Sc. Physics with Dip.RP (AERB approved) OR M.Sc. Medical Physics (AERB Approved)
• For candidates passed after 2012, one-year internship in an AERB-approved Radiation Therapy Department
• Desirable: AERB-certified Radiological Safety Officer (RSO)

Key Points to Note

• All positions are purely contractual and may be extended if required.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Candidates must bring original certificates/mark sheets for verification at the time of interview.
• Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at Master’s level is available for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates for Teaching Associates as per UGC regulations.
