Dispur College Recruitment 2025: Walk-In Interview for Faculty Positions
Dispur College, Ganeshguri, Guwahati, has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for various faculty positions under the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The programme will commence from the academic session 2026–27.
The recruitment will be conducted through a Walk-In Interview, and appointments will be made on a purely temporary and contractual basis as per UGC and NCTE guidelines.
Available Positions
1. Head of Department (Professor/Associate Professor in Education)
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate degree in Sciences/Mathematics/Social Sciences/Commerce/Languages
- M.Ed. degree
- Ph.D. in Education
- Minimum 10 years teaching experience (for Professor) or 8 years (for Associate Professor)
- Desirable: Diploma/Degree in Educational Administration or Leadership
2. Assistant Professor (Liberal Discipline & Pedagogy)
Subjects & Vacancies:
- History – 2 posts
- Geography – 2 posts
- Political Science – 2 posts
- Economics – 2 posts
- English/Hindi/Assamese – 2 posts
- Communicative Skills in English – 1 post
- Communicative Skills in MIL/Classical Languages – 1 post
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks
- B.Ed. with minimum 55% marks
- NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms
- Desirable: M.Ed. or M.Ed. with Specialization; Ph.D. in Education
3. Assistant Professor (Educational Studies) – 3 posts
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with 55% marks
- NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. in Education as per UGC norms
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Psychology/Philosophy/Sociology or allied subjects
4. Health & Physical Education – 1 post
- Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with 55% marks
5. Instructor (Part-Time) – Arts Education – 1 post
- Postgraduate degree in Performing Arts/Visual Arts with 55% marks
6. Counsellor (Part-Time) – Career Guidance & Counselling – 1 post
- Appropriate qualification in guidance and counselling
Important Guidelines
- Candidates must submit the prescribed application form via email at itepdispurcollege@gmail.com on or before 10th September 2025.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an On-Spot Interview (date to be announced later on the college website).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- The posts are not permanent and carry negotiable remuneration depending on financial feasibility.
- The college reserves the right to suspend/cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
