Educational Qualification

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree or M.Tech in Geography, Geo-informatics, Geospatial Science, or Remote Sensing from a recognized university.
  • Ph.D. in Geo-informatics or a relevant area will be given preference.

Experience Required

  • Relevant industry experience in Geo-informatics, especially in applying geospatial technologies, spatial data analysis, and GIS software.
  • Experience in real-world projects and collaboration with industry partners is highly desirable.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, and remote sensing applications.
  • Handling equipment like Total Station, DGPS, Drone etc.
  • Expertise in spatial data analysis, integrating technology into teaching and research.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R, and familiarity with Machine Learning & AI techniques applied to geospatial data.
  • Ability to teach and apply advanced analytical techniques in Geo-informatics including data visualization and modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses in Geo-informatics.
  • Mentoring students.
  • Engaging in research activities aligned with the Department’s academic goals.

  • The appointment will initially be for 6 (six) months.
