📢 Jadavpur University, Kolkata has officially announced the notification (No. FET/Ph.D./01/2025; Date: 24/07/2025) for admission to the Ph.D Programme in Engineering and Pharmacy under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) for the academic year 2025.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate Degree Holders
- M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Pharm./MS (2 years) or equivalent with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- M.Sc. in Engineering with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
MCA Candidates
- MCA (2/3 years) degree holders with minimum 65% marks.
Bachelor’s Degree Candidates
- 4-year B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm. with minimum 75% marks.
Relaxation
- 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/EWS/PwD candidates.

Submit the printed application form with:
- Payment receipt
- Self-attested copies of mark sheets (Secondary to Master’s degree)

- 2 passport size photos

📝 Selection Process

Exempted from Written Test (WRET):
Candidates with UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE/GPAT/CEED/DST-INSPIRE/DBT/Visvesvaraya Fellowship.
Written Entrance Test (WRET):
- For others, qualifying marks: 50% (General), 45% (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD).
- Test Pattern:
  - 50% – Research Methodology
  - 50% – Subject Specific
Final Selection:
- 70% weightage – Entrance Test (or National Exam Score)
- 30% weightage – Interview/Viva-voce
