Kazi Nazrul University (KNU), Asansol, West Bengal, has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for the engagement of two Project Associate-I positions on a contractual basis. The posts are under a research project funded by the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), USA, in the Department of Physics.

Project Details

• Title of the Project: Applying Floquet Oscillation to Topological Insulator for Infrared (IR) Detector and Focal Plane Array (FPA)
• Funding Agency: AOARD & AFRL, USA
• Principal Investigator: Dr. Puja Dey, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, KNU

Vacancies

• Project Associate-I: 2 posts

Essential Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized University/Institute

Desirable Qualification

• Hands-on experience in deposition techniques
• Specialization in Condensed Matter Physics/Electronics at Postgraduate level (special paper/major elective)

Emoluments

• Rs. 30,000/- per month + HRA (18%)

Tenure

• Initially up to 17 August 2026; may be extended up to 17 August 2027 depending on performance and project extension
