Murshidabad University, located in Berhampore, West Bengal, has officially released a notification inviting fresh eligible candidates for walk-in-interviews to engage as Guest Teachers on a purely temporary basis.

📚 Guest Teacher Requirements by Specialization
- Physics (5 posts): Nuclear/Particle Physics, Solid State Physics & Open areas.
- Chemistry (2 posts): Physical Chemistry.
- Bengali (4 posts): Linguistics, Comparative Literature & Open areas.
- Philosophy (2 posts): Nyaya-Vaisesika.
- Mathematics (4 posts): Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations, Number Theory & Matlab.
- Law (3 posts): Criminal Law, Constitutional Law & International Law.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- As per UGC norms.
- Desirable:
- Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
- Teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
💼 Job Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students (preferably offline).
- Engaging in other academic activities of the university.
💰 Remuneration
The remuneration will be provided as per Murshidabad University norms.

- Initial engagement is for 6 months, extendable upon satisfactory performance.

- Final merit list will be prepared based on:
- Academic & Research Achievements (75 marks)
- Interview & Teaching Demonstration (25 marks)
- Candidates must carry original documents (10th onwards) along with self-attested photocopies.
- Filled-in information-cum-verification sheet (provided in the notification) must be submitted.
- Candidates reporting after 11:30 a.m. on the scheduled date will not be allowed.
