The Centre for Translation and Literary Geography, University of Calcutta, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of Project Fellows under the Indian Council of Social Science Research – Eastern Regional Centre (ICSSR-ERC) sponsored project titled:

“Translating and Documenting Toto Cultural Texts”

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree in any Humanities or Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • Prior fieldwork experience, digital archiving skills, and proficiency in computer applications will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates must possess excellent communication skills in Bangla, with strong writing ability in both Bangla and English.

💰 Fellowship:

  • ₹12,000 per month (fixed).
  • Travel Allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for official fieldwork.
  • The position is purely temporary, starting for two months, with potential extension based on performance and fund availability.

🗓️ Walk-in Interview Details:

  • Date: 8th August 2025 (Thursday)
  • Time: 12:30 PM (Reporting time: 11:00 AM sharp)
  • Venue: Room No. 122, Centre for Translation and Literary Geography,
    Ground Floor, Asutosh Building, College Street Campus, University of Calcutta.

Note: Candidates arriving after 11:00 AM will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
