Job Description

Visva-Bharati invites online applications for direct recruitment to 54 Professor positions across various departments and Bhavanas (schools). Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications (General for All Positions):

• PhD in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 120 (as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018).
• 10 years of teaching experience at University/National Level Institutions as Associate Professor or equivalent, including successful PhD guidance.
  OR
• Outstanding professional with PhD (or equivalent) and 10 years’ experience in the relevant field, evidenced by national/international awards, significant contributions, etc.

Desirable Qualifications:

Vary by position (e.g., specialization in Physical Geography for Sl. 01; expertise in Rabindranath’s works for Sl. 11; M.Sc. in Botany with Microbiology for Sl. 27). Full list available in the official advertisement.

Relaxations:

• 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST/PwD/PhD holders (from 55% to 50% at Master’s level).
• Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
• Previous applicants from ads dated 2019-2022 (for specified posts) exempt from fees with proof.
